The current art market often isolates artists for it’s own benefit and to the detriment of art culture. Recognition is reserved for a select few, while countless others go unseen despite their talents and contributions. At The Fugue, we believe the future of art lies in artistic orchestrations|creative collaborations|merging of mediums. To foster this belief, we’re creating physical and digital spaces where artists celebrate artists.

In return for “giving flowers”, you’ll gain countless benefits from joining our artist network. 8 WALL members will have priority for open call and exhibition opportunities. They will be notified first for exclusive events and mixers in the gallery. And additional benefits, resources, and learning opportunities that come from having a strong community and network.

  • The Fugue is a member-driven, artist-owned network and gallery located at 141 Canal St on the third floor. The gallery and network is designed to help independent artists connect, collaborate, and grow. We give artists opportunities to show their work in our digital and physical spaces, and facilitate connection between artists and collectors.

  • We’re launching as a members-only platform for artists and creators to keep the space intentional and values-aligned. Over time, we’ll open more parts of the platform to the public — while preserving a core space for our committed members. Artists of all disciplines — visual artists, photographers, performers, designers, filmmakers, writers, musicians, are welcome to join.

  • The network will begin as a private member-moderated forum where artists can connect and share resources. Are you looking for studio or exhibition space? Someone within the network may be able to provide it. Are you seeking tools or new skills? Ask and you shall receive.

  • The Fugue members will have priority for open call and exhibition opportunities. They will be notified first for exclusive events and mixers in the gallery. And countless additional benefits, resources, and opportunities that come from having a strong community and network.

  • You can join our early member waitlist by paying your dues in the form above. Early members will help shape the direction of the platform and community.

  • The forum is scheduled to be open in the Fall. We’ll be slowly add features and resources based on demand.

  • Your artist tribute is meant to be a public statement and will be posted on our instagram page. Our page will serve as a catalogue of artistic influence, and will help the art world connect the dots between artists.
